Khalid Sheik Mohammed traveled to Bosnia in September 1995, and worked there, under an assumed name, for Egyptian Relief, as a humanitarian aid worker. Local intelligence officials confirmed he obtained Bosnian citizenship in November 1995. Egyptian Relief functioned as a front for the Muslim Brotherhood. 1996 he fled to Pakistan to avoid capture by U.S. authorities. In his flight from Qatar he was sheltered by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalid Al-Thani, who was the Qatari Minister of Religious (read 'islamic') Affairs.
