Pretending not to see the original islam at work is to assist in murder & rape etc. And no, islam can't be changed because its whole idea is parasitism. Cure this fault & you loose islam altogether in any meaningful sense! And no, you can't refer to "cultural traditions" etc because in a dynamic changing world EVERYONE has to give up her/his "cultural tradition" (also called "backwardness" or "orientalism" if you like).
