An emergency beacon made by Honeywell International Inc. (HON) is under scrutiny in the U.K. probe of last week’s Boeing (BA) Co. 787 fire at London’s Heathrow
The conventional batteries used in the emergency beacon are produced by US company Ultralife and may have caused the fire on an Ethiopian Dreamliner (Boeing 787) recently. And although the real cause of the previous fires on the Dreamliner isn't revealed for the public, what we do know for sure is that they were not caused by Yuasa's high tech super batteries - no matter how much BBC tries to negatively mention the Japanese company when reporting about the Dreamliner.
Btw, compare this with what Klevius has revealed on have much less likely Japanese cars are catching fire compared to European and American cars (sorry for not having updated my web pages but I'm still waiting for your support - it's long over due - if you really want to have a continuing good access to the web's least biased info).
Some consumer voices about Ultralife batteries:
Here's one review from Amazon:
1.0 out of 5 stars 50% failure rate for
sealed batteries August 15, 2011
By NoSpam
I've been using these batteries for
over a decade. I usually buy 10 at a time. The last batch I purchased
had a 50% failure rate. Opening the sealed package had batteries with
leaks, discolored bodies and low voltage.
Several attempts at contacting the
manufacturer, including filling out the RMA form have been 100%
ignored. They even have section on the website dedicated for RMAs for
the batteries, so it's clear that they know about the problems.
Won't ever touch anything with the
Ultralife name on it.

I bought 8 of these "10 year"
smoke alarm batteries September 2009
1 of them had to be replaced after only
one year
I just replaced another one, less than
4 years after installing
I am now going to buy a different
brand, and will NEVER buy ULTRALIFE again

I purchased a batch of these for my
four smoke detectors as some are hard to get at. They all lasted less
then one year (they were dated good to 2020.) The smoke detectors are
electric, the battery is only a back-up!! Regular 9 volt batteries
last over 5 years. Save your money. Total rip-off. Someone is
laughing all the way to the bank.
this is not the first time Ultralife
cheats with poor quality:

Does Dreamliner suffer the same problem as Flight 447?
The real culprits causing the victims and troubles in Africa and elsewhere
This appalling, rape accused, guy is part of the Saudi family that, together with OIC and Obama, terrorize Africa with islam and islam schools teaching religious hatred (this phenomenon really accelerated after the fall of Gaddafi)!
The spider in the Saudi islamofascist net, Billionaire Alwleed bin Talal (Kingdom Holding etc), is owner of French Thales which makes weapon affairs with the Saudi islamofascists.!
A long time ago France used to be good at technology etc. Did islam destroy this reputation?
There's a reason why French cars are constantly at the bottom of reliability, safety (see list of car fires) and quality surveys (just before British Land Rover and Range Rover which are usually last) and why Japanese are constantly at the top.
Therefore Klevius thinks it's not Japanese high quality Yuasa and their powerful and technologically advanced batteries (which are part of what made Dreamliner possible) but the usual French low-quality from Thales of France that is behind the problems. Just as it was when Airbus A330 plane Flight 447 from Brazil crashed into the Atlantic ocean.
According to Aviation Weekly (2009) for at least two years before the Flight 447 disaster officials at the European Aviation Safety Agency, EASA, knew there were serious problems with equipment installed on many Air France A330s, made by the French aerospace conglomerate Thales. EASA had reports of a “significant number of events.”
Klevius comment: Thales is the supplier of equipment directly connected to the powerful and advanced Yuasa batteries on the Dreamliner!
Klevius nostalgia: When I, who was used to Finnish and Swedish batteries, got my first Yuasa car battery I couldn't believe the difference it made for cold starts, charging, power reserve, recovery time and how long it lasted etc. It was a similar experience as when I went from my unreliable SAAB and VW to a bullet proof Mazda. And after having driven an old used Mazda (with some 200,000 km on the meter) more than 100,000 km without any repair the question was obvious: Why doesn't everyone drive such a beautiful and reliable car? The racist answer: But it's a Japanese rice-cup!
