Two news stories this week. In one, an American is targeted for beheading by members of the American Muslim community because the target would not adhere to the blasphemy laws under the sharia. I was the target and this was the media coverage. The NY Times covered only one of these two stories — guess which one.

The other news story: a 31-year-old terror-tied Muslim woman went on social media and decried United Airlines for not giving her a can of Diet Coke in the way that she demanded — unopened. Under the hashtag #IslamophobiaIsReal she wrote: “I am sitting on a United airlines flight in the air 30,000ft above and I am in tears of humiliation from discrimination. The flight attendant asked me what I would like to drink and I requested a can of diet coke. She brought me a can that was open so I requested an unopened can due to hygienic reasons.”
A fellow passenger claims Diet Coke Muslim Tahera Ahmad is a rude liar (scroll down for their full account). Other passengers fear coming forward for fear of being publicly smeared with Islamophobe! Bigot! Racist! — even though Islam is not a race.
Heads exploded in an islamophobia-fueled frenzy in newsrooms everywhere.
The New York Times covered the Diet Coke jihad. The NY Times did not cover the beheading plot at all.

The islam-jihad-terror connection
Sharia (in any form) is against the most basic Human Rights. Sharia is the prerequisite for justifying muslim terror (incl. muslim mob terrorism, lynchings etc) by referring to "Allah's" will, "blasphemy" and "attacks on islam". Mishal Husain supports sharia.

This became national news – the media was outraged at United Airlines. The Catholic Register declared: “Fight Islamophobia in America”.
Pamela Geller: In late December, Ahmad attended the MAS-ICNA (Muslim American Society- Islamic Circle of North America) conference, which featured prominent leaders within the global Muslim Brotherhood network.
One month earlier, Ahmad posted a picture to Facebook of her standing next to Suhaib Webb, who is the Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston, an outfit run under the same umbrella organization as the mosque attended by Boston Marathon bombers Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, and a plethora of other convicted terrorists. Webb has a demonstrated history of radical connections, including him being a close confidant of Al Qaeda mastermind Anwar al Awlaki prior to the 9/11 attacks.
Ahmad is “well-known” to Yasir Qadhi, a cleric who she has frequently invited to speak to the student body at Northwestern. An audio tape of one of Qadhi’s sermons revealed that he once called for Muslims to wage holy war against non-Muslims. During his speech, Qadhi went on to discuss how he did not believe that the Holocaust had ever occurred.
In April 2014, Ahmad joined an MPAC (Muslim Public Affairs Council) delegation of American Muslim women, who partnered with the White House “to host a historic forum recognizing the contributions of American Muslim women.” MPAC, like the MAS and ICNA, was originally founded by members of the Muslim Brotherhood. The group has in the past endorsed a paper that rejects the designations of Hamas and Hezbollah as terrorist organizations. In 2009, the group hosted a protest where demonstrators called for the annihilation of the State of Israel.
In 2013, she recited the Quran at the annual ISNA (Islamic Society of North America) convention. Declassified FBI documents found that the Bureau regarded ISNA as a Muslim Brotherhood front group. The FBI also found that ISNA was founded by prominent members of the global Muslim Brotherhood organization. Ahmad’s bio states that she has “supported leadership for premier Muslim organizations including [ISNA].” (more)
United’s early statement, now erased from the web, said that the flight attendant “attempted several times to accommodate Ms. Ahmad’s beverage request.” The flight attendant has been fired after the media waged jihad against United.
I expect this from the media but I will never fly United again.
Fellow Passenger Claims Diet Coke Muslim Tahera Ahmad is a Rude Liar

This is an anonymous account on the internet so we have no way of knowing if it’s true, but then again we have no way of knowing if Tahera Ahmad’s account is true either. And this version has a lot of details missing from Ahmad’s story.
First, to recap.
She cried discrimination, pointing to another passenger who had gotten an unopened beer and the supposed statement by the flight attendant that an unopened can could be used as a weapon. (While that sounds silly, a Chinese airline did experience a Muslim terror attack involving explosive liquid injected into soda cans, so the TSA isn’t food of soda cans.)
It was a silly and petty complaint by a silly and petty person that the media swarmed around because Ahmad and her Islamist allies on Twitter spread it around with a hashtag #IslamophobiaisReal and then #UnitedforTahera . More stories were done about Tahera Ahmad’s Diet Coke ordeal than about the thousands of UK girls raped by Muslims.
But critics early on questioned Tahera Ahmad’s tall coke tale.
Many pointed out that they were denied full cans despite not being Muslim. Others pointed out that airlines cut costs by pouring soda cans into a cup to be able to use one can for more than one person. #Airlinebudgetcutsarereal.
And still others noted that none of Ahmad’s fellow passengers had come forward to corroborate her story. Now someone who claims to have been there has come forward.
I was actually on this flight on Friday evening from ORD to DCA. I have been a reader of this forum for a long time but seeing this all over the news made me sign up so I could tell you what really happened here and hopefully stop this liar in her tracks. I was sitting close enough to her to hear everything that was said.
The flight attendant came up to the lady (I believe she even took her order first in the entire cabin as she was seated in the bulkhead 7d) and took her order.
She ordered a coke zero and a hot green tea with a Splenda. The flight attendant handed her a full diet coke with a cup on top and then told her that the green tea would take a few minutes and she would get it to her ASAP.
The lady said very rudely and condescending to the FA that she ordered a coke zero and basically pushed the soda back to the flight attendant. The FA said she was sorry and attempted to find a coke zero for her (which she did not have many of) and told her that she could only give her a portion of the can not the full can.
This is when the lady in question started to freak out and told the FA “What do you think I will use this as a weapon?! Why can’t I have the whole can? I think you are discriminating against me. I need your name….” The lady just kept yelling to her “I need your name… I am being discriminated against.”
This is when a few passengers told her to calm down and one guy told her to “shut her mouth and she is being ridiculous over a can of coke”.
No one ever said anything anti-Muslim to her at all.
She was the one who started screaming discrimination when she did not get what she wanted. The FA asked her numerous times if she would like anything else when the lady just basically pushed her away with a hand in her face. The lady then got onto her phone with her credit card and paid for the internet so she could start spinning this story on social media and she was never in tears. This person is a liar plain and simple and is just pulling the discrimination card.
Now there are some specific details here. Namely the seating position of Tahera Ahmad, I’m not sure if that has been made public before, and details of what she ordered.
Diet Coke wasn’t the issue. Coke Zero was. As had been suggested by others, the flight attendant was using a cup to be able to provide a drink to more than one person.
The most plausible part of this is Ahmad being the one to introduce the claim that it could be used as a weapon. It sounds far more plausible than Ahmad’s version of how it happened.
And the “I’m being discriminated against” yelling dovetails with how Tahera Ahmad has acted since. Further suspicions are raised by Ahmad’s dubious claim that the pilot apologized to her for his white privilege and her deletion of sections of her account.
So an already ridiculous story becomes dumber. The only thing more ridiculous than Tahera Ahmad throwing a tantrum over a Diet Coke would be that she made the whole thing up.
